Description
AdBlue is a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) that reduces harmful emissions from diesel engines. It neutralizes nitrous oxides (NOx), which are specific to diesel engines.
Diesel cars only need to use Ad Blue. Any car registered after 2015 will be required to fill their vehicle with Ad Blue. There will be a filing cap near to the fuel cap, check the owners manual. Petrol vehicles will not produce the same level of NOx unlike diesel engines. This means they can more easily meet emission standards.
Using Ad Blue will help improve the environment by reducing emissions into the atmosphere. Other benefits are a reduction in fuel costs and lowering service costs.
